Memphis
Serving the Children of the World
Welcome
Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Memphis. We meet every Wednesday at noon at The Peabody Hotel, 149 Union Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
We are a service organization dedicated to helping the children of our community and the world. Each year we sponsor dozens of youth so that they may attend summer camp. We support Corning Elementary our Adopt a School.
The Kiwanis Club of Memphis sponors a monthly lunch at the Memphis Family Shelter. (See photo of some of our brave cookers below during a cold Saturday).
This year we have launched a new service project called "Service at Your Table." This project allows members to engage in service during the lunch meeting. During this new initiative we have collected books for the Memphis Family Shelter, collected money and food for the Mid South Food Bank and written letters and Valentines for our miltary service personnel.
Memphis Mayor AC Wharton recently spoke to us and Mayor Mark Luttrell will be speaking to us in February. Developer Bob Loeb recently updated us on Overton Square. Our programs offer a mix of business, government and the arts. If you are interested in learning more about your community and giving back, check us out.
